Abstract:Discussion of the bilingual French/English language situation in Cameroon and indication of the differences and similarities of reaction between anglophone and francophone Cameroonian students in their attitudes to the two official languages. Observations are based on 26 questionnaires administered to university students studying for a bilingual degree in the Arts Faculty. The overall impression is that whereas there may be a number of individual statements which reflect considerable differences between the two groups, there is nonetheless considerbale agreement on many factors.
