Abstract: | The political institutions of the Azande people of Central Africa cannot adequately be understood unless thoir history during the past century or so is known. Fortunately it has been recorded by a number of writers, particularly de Caloune-Beaufaict but in a very complicated manner. The author tries in this article to give a simplified picture in which some significant features of the political life of the Azande can be underlined. |
