Abstract:The Soviet penetration into Africa, based on Khrushchev's 'African Research Programme' comprises an ever-increasing stream of Communist literature and communist agents, broadcasting to various African countries, indoctrination of African trade unionists in several specialised training centres, an extensive scholarship scheme for African university students. Soviet penetration into the United Arab Republic is carried on through Bulgaria. The World Federation of Trade Unions projects a new Federation of African Trade Unionists. Communist economic penetration goes through the Italian Communist Party. Important is the appointment of Mr Daniel Solod as Soviet Ambassador in Conakry.
