| Abstract: | The aim of this article is to speculate on the economic implications of the Adebo Report (First Report of the Wages and Salaries Review Commission, 1970; and Second and Final Report of the Wages and Salaries Review Commission, 1970-71, Fed. Min. of Information, Lagos, 1970 and 1971). In effect it attempts to examine the extent to which real benefits can be expected to accrue from the Adebo recommendations: 1. the factors which influence the economic impact of the recommended wage and salary increases. 2. the nature of the likely economic effects; 3. general observations on the Adebo exercise.
