| Abstract: | Tanzania's programme for implementing workers' participation and changing the management-worker status quo has had to deal with several problems. It cannot be claimed, for example, that self-discipline has replaced discipline based on fear, the fear of workers that failure to comply with the wishes of the employer may lead to some sort of reprisal. Survey of the conditions which have led to fear discipline, steps which have been taken to bring change and the problems involved. Notes. |
