Abstract:The Kenyan government intends to increase the national monetary income from the resources of Masai-land. This means an increase in the numbers of cattle and cattle-rearing people and a decrease in the numbers of wildlife. In this article an analysis is made of the costs of a 25,000 acre ranch, which is undergoing development and has substituted livestock for the wildlife known to be on the ranch. Ref., tables.
