Abstract: | SINTO (Sheffield Interchange Organisation) is a cooperative scheme which began in 1932 as an effort to help all librarians/information workers in the area, in every type of library (whether academic, public, research, commercial, industrial or governmental) to maximise the use of their existing resources and develop their future potential. After explaining who benefits, and how, from inter-library lending/inter-library co-operation, the author indicates what kind of inter-library lending organisation is needed to achieve results.
