Lomé Convention
Abstract:The Lomé Convention between the nine member countries of the European Community and the 46 ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) countries was signed in February 1975. One effort to examine the convention in a proper historical and global context was the author's book: The European Community: A Superpower in the Making. This book was written during the winter 1971/72. In the present article the author reviews the book for where he thinks he might have gone wrong. Sections: The European Community: a superpower in the making? - The Lomé Convention - Evaluation of the Lomé Convention - Conclusion. Notes.
