| Abstract: | The non-racial new Southern Rhodesian Apprenticeship Act, which came into force on January 1, 1960, opens the door of skilled enterprise to the African on terms of equality with the European. To make use of the African's potentialities investment in his education, since this is the key to his development, must be increased. In the meantime opportunities must be found for training apprentices who are ready for apprenticeship. This training must be ensured to be up to European standards.
