Abstract:A few legends in Greek mythology point to relations suggesting the presence of African blood in the royal families of some of the most important centers of Mycenaean civilization. Two such legends concern the daughters of Atlas and the sons of Andromeda. These legends are examined for their implications in respect of the relations between the mythological Greeks and Africans.
