| Abstract: | This review of some of the most important fields of economic co-operation and interaction on the southern African subcontinent shows the extent of interdependence between the different states of the subcontinent. It shows the large measure of willingness among South Africans to share their skills with the real of Africa. It is undoubtedly in South Africa's own interest to promote this co-operation, but it has been evident that where South African know-how has been employed, it has also been to the advantage of the country receiving the aid.
