Inter-African Relations
Abstract:Walter Rodney, who was assassinated in June 1980 in Guyana and who was deeply involved in the struggle of the Guyanese people, stands out as a unique symbol and embodiment of a Pan-African revolutionary consciousness from the Caribbean. His own life was significantly shaped by the revival of Pan-African nationalism after 1957 and his contribution before he died was no less than the regeneration of the theory and practice of Pan-Africanism within the operational sphere of the Caribbean. Sections: ideology of struggle - early beginnings - philosophy of history - means of analysis - poor substitute - anti-neo-colonial antidote. Notes.
