Abstract:The object of the Brussels Bureau of the Congolese Middle Class Association is the defense of African middle class interests in Belgium. At a ceremony in Brussels making the opening of this office, Mr. J.P. Dericoyard, an African representative, spoke about the aspirations of this growing African social class. Mr. A.Buisseret, Belgiam Minister of Overseas Territories spoke about a dynamic middle class as a safeguard of African future. The present article summarizes the views expressed by the speakers.
