Abstract: | Both Mao and Mwalimu are revolutionaries in the sense that their primary objective is to create a new social order in their respective countries and challenge the present unequal distribution of wealth in the world. This does not mean that the revolutionary patterns followed in the two countries are the same, that one is simply copying the other. Clear differences do exist between Mao and Mwalimu with respect to personal background and prescriptions and methods used to solve problems in society. These distinctions make the policies of the two countries very dissimilar. In fact there are two quite opposite revolutionary models: 1. in which the Soldier (Mao) determines the revolutionary style; 2. in which the Teacher (Mwalimu) does this. How different the patterns are in the two countries is shown in this article. Ref. |
