Abstract: | In South Africa there are great differences from place to place in the ratio of Bantu males to females, i.e. the masculinity ratio. The 1970 census, where for the first time data were presented on a district basis for White South Africa and the Bantu Homelands, has made it possible to present in more detail the geographical distribution of the urban and rural Bantu masculinity ratios. This is discussed in the article on the basis of three maps. Bibl. |
