Abstract:Analyzes briefly some of the main population problems which affect Tanzania's agricultural development. First section: population, distribution and density as it is to-day and its effect on agricultural development. Second section: preliminary analysis of agricultural resources in terms of ecological zones, in relation to present and projected population figures. Conclusion is that Tanzania, although still perhaps underpopulated, must consider seriously the relationship which exists between population, population growth, and the resources available for agricultural development.
