Abstract:To help these unfortunate young people who, after primary school, are faced with the fact that there are no paid jobs to absorb and that there are few chances for further education, the Village Polytechnic Movement was launched by the National Christian Council of Kenya in 1966. Aim is to offer a variety of training courses (carpentry, bakery etc.), geared to the specific needs and opportunities of the particular area.
