Abstract:The problems of urban markets need special bodies charged with the responsibility of running and controling them. Urban markets and motor parks, if well managed, can be a source of revenue to both local and state governments. To justify this assertion, an objective evaluation - in the context of the Central Place Theory - is needed of the existing market authorities, with a view to establising more if proved profitable: introductron - Types of market - Urban market administration - Recommendations.
