Abstract:The LBAs (Licensed Buy Agents) are firms which are licensed by the Marketing Boards to buy, grade and transport export crops to the port of shipment. Some information is presented on the growth and size distribution of investment expenditures of LBA firms in southern Nigeria. Specifically, data are presented on the growth rates of investment expenditures; the factors influencing these growth rates; the pattern of discributioa of investment expenditures and the reasons for the observed distribution pattern.
