| Abstract: | There are significant financial flows from the Arab world to Sub-Saharan Africa. Between 1973 and 1982 $ 8 billion has been committed by Arab governments and agencies in development aid to non-Arab African nations. The assessment of how the money was used is now underway and is likely to be critical on numerous points. But Arab aid to Africa will continue, as the author, who is a spokesman for BADEA (Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa), the main conduit of the flows, affirms. Notes, tab. |
