Abstract: | This study of rural development in Botswana is based on the 'definitional priorities' given to the concept by the government of that country, assuming that the Botswana Democratic Party does effectively represent and articulate the aims and the wishes of the Botswana. It looks at the factors that are determining the path which rural development is taking and assesses the policies which have been pursued since independence. Notes. |
