Abstract: | National development involves not only changes in economic activity but also large-scale transformation in social structures, traditional institutions, value systems, attitudes and motivations. Therefore, planning for development is not simply a matter for economic but, of necessity, requires taking into consideration social and psychological variables as well. In this paper the authors consider the psychological dimensions of national development and psychology's actual and potential contribution, in particular in the spheres of education and industry. - Notes, ref. |
