| Abstract: | The author deals with the arrival of the Nyakyusa chiefs in Rungwe valley (Tanzania) and the Kyungu of the Ngonde at Mbande Hill during the 15th century. In the area in which the Kyungu settled the earlier inhabitants were Tumbuka-speakers. Before settling the Kyungu visited Bisa country. This raises a question about the date of arrival of the Bisa in Zambia. Map, ref. |
