Abstract: | In Nigeria in the post-war years management consultancy has been fostered to provide expertise in the handling of complex management decisions arising from rapid industrialisation of the economy. The author reviews the traditional roles of management consulting, its characteristic features and scope, and critically assesses the situation of management consulting in Nigeria, paying attention to the attitudes of the general public, the managers, and the governments, and terminating with suggestions for improvements.
