Abstract:The first part reviews the main features of the educational system in colonial Zimbabwe, starting with the 1899 Education Ordinance. The second part considers the new black government's educational program for reconstruction in the following sections: the new government's program for the educational transformation of Zimbabwe - implementation and/or modification of ZANU's educational program. Conclusion: how successful educational transformation in Zimbabwe will be, depends on the level of economic assistance the international community will provide. Notes.
