Abstract: | The author wants to show that the 'Rhodesian police State' is the result of a rejection of legal safeguards which has been effected by all Rhodesian Governments since the early 1950s. He describes the measures which have led to a police state, among other things concerning university education and students. He submits that the growth of such a state has vital political consequences, the full importance of which has been little appreciated. |
