Abstract:According to Fanon the peasants constitute the most revolutionary sector in the Third World. The author gives an analysis of the reasons why Fanon chooses the peasants as a revolutionary force and comes to the conclusion, by an examination of the Algerian war of independence, that the peasants played approximately the rôle which Fanon described.
