Abstract: | This article discusses and illustrates the differences and similarities between the theories of revolution of Frantz Fanon and Amilcar Ca-bral and so it is a contribution towards understanding African revolutions and the continent's search for identity. Fanon's thoughts on revolution were based mainly upon his knowledge of and experience in much of Africa, especially Algeria; Cabral's theories were a result of his experiences of the course of his life. Sections of the article: Nature of the African revolution - Class structure (in the discussion of classes are the sharpest contrasts between the two revolutionists) - Parties and leadership - Revolutionary violence - Role of culture and future prospects - Epitaph.
