Abstract:Identified are four areas for development of African Theology: automatic contextualization, attitudinal response, production of literature, the phenomenon of African religious independence. Christianity has succeeded in the various African climes. Why such a prodigious success of Christianity despite its unrelatedness to the African environment? The answer is definitely traceable to the Holy Spirit who has been instrumental in the triumph of Christianity in Africa, human inadequacies notwithstanding. Nonetheless, there have been human factors which conspired to aid the spiritual agency in making Christianity succeed in Africa. These human factors are discussed here. African Theology is already taking some shape, and it is hoped that its creation will be brought to its logical and indeed successful conclusion. Notes.
