Abstract: | One of the main problems that Nigeria faces in the utilisation of her high-level manpower is that of restricted geographical labour mobility. Examination of the potential geographical mobility of Nigerian univeristy students and an evaluation of Nigeria's National Youth Service Corps scheme as a means of promoting country-wide high-level manpower mobility. Policy implications of the study and recommandation of several changes in government policy. Notes. In a critique, Margie Mendell wonders whether the focal point of one's attention should in fact be directed towards the problem of high-level manpower immobility when 'the real issue is one of education itself'. A rejoinder by Folayan Ojo appears in Manpower & Unemployment Res., 10 (1977), 2, p. 103-107. |
