| Abstract: | The author, a writer from Uganda, has traveled through the U.S.A. He discovered that in the United States contact between Africans and their skin brothers was kept at a minimum, that between them generally there existed feelings of deep suspicion and real imagined hurt, that by and large American Negroes returned in ferocious measure any feelings of disdain which the Africans might feel for them. On the other hand he discovered a multitude of fine land, and women who had carried with them a part of Africa for centuries in a caw land, and who gave him a chance to learn many new things about himself, as an individual and as part of a group, and to realize more clearly then before, the dangers which faced the group. |
