| Abstract: | The present study concerns a Fulani agro-pastoral population, consisting of two groups: Rimaibe who primarily cultivate millet and Fulbe who practise a system of semi-transhumant herding with some millet cultivation. The area is semi-arid with a yearly rainfall between 200 mm and 400 mm. For a whole year, every individual in the sample was covered every month. Everyone was weighed and data on nutrition and the incidence of different diseases were collected by questionnaire. This paper presents and discusses the results concerning anthropometry and morbidity. - App. (questionnaire used to obtain data on food intake through a 24-hour recall survey amongst the Seno-Mango Fulani; questionnaire used for the morbidity survey amongst the Fulani of Seno-Mango), diagr., graph., map, notes, tab. |
