Abstract:Khartoum Girls'Secondary School was inaugurated in 1958; each year since then 70 girls have been accepted. The school is staffed by Sudanese, British, Egyptian and Indian masters and mistresses. There are 8 classes taking a 4 year course for the Sudan school certificate examination. Scarcely any girls leave school before the end of the course. A large majority of the girls come from underdeveloped rural areas.
