| Abstract: | Although this article centers around reviewing 1) The Writer in Modern Africa, ed. Per Wastberg (Stockholm, 1967), 2) Cosmo Pieterse and Donald Munro (eds.). Protest and Conflict in African Literature (London, 1965), 3) G.D. Killam, The Novels of Chinua Achebe (New York, 1969), part of it is devoted to the field of critical interest which African literature represents today. Especially, the last section of this article deals, as indicated in its heading, with critics. Furthermore, one footnote gives a partial listing of African magazines and a selected bibliography on Black African literature is added. |
