Abstract:Until the 16th century the spread of Islamic faith was the achievement of traders and on momadic Arabs neither of whom were well grounded in Islamic doctrine. The Funj Kingdom marked the beginning of the proper Islamization. This was the work of individual scholars who brought Islamic learning and propagates sufi mysticism. Notes.
