Abstract: | The Church in Ethiopia has acted as the principal agent in the preservation and transmission of the nation's cultural heritage. Its educational activities go back to the earliest days of Christianity in Ethiopia A really systematic and scholarly study of Church education in Ethiopia is long overdue. Here only a few of the salient features of the Church system are metioned. An appreciation of these features may contribute to a better understanding of the modern education system.
