Abstract: | Report from field work on the locality groups of the Datoga (north-western Tanganyika) carried out 1962-64 in Mangola. The locality groups represent only a part of the social structure of the tribe. They are inter-related by way of function with family, clan, lineage and pastoral systems of the tribe in other parts.
