adult education
Abstract:The main theme of the author is the significant role of adult education in the operation of economic policies, and the part which individual citizens play in the implementation of economic policies. Therefore he considers whether a massive assault through adult and informal education might not provide a more rapid and permanent economic advance than the present reliance on formal schooling. Various aspects of adult education are discussed in the article. The attention should be engaged by 'further education': for those who have had some education at whatever level and are engaged in active life, generally imparted by lectures, correspondence courses, television, etc. Within the urban areas this adult education should be concentrated on industrial and commercial workers and public officers; such a programme will have an automatic impact on rural areas.
