Abstract: | More than four years ago the UNESCO and the compiles of the Year book of Education concentrated their efforts on investigating the positions teachers hold in public esteem and on suggesting means by which that position could be improved. Remarkably little change seems to have resulted from so much informed discussion. It is desirable that the topic should be re-opened, particularly with regard to some of the rapidly developing countries which have hitherto been outside the main stream of technical development. - The place of the Nigerian teacher in society - Professional training. |
