Abstract:	A brief introductory note by D.H. Simpson on the career and work of Albert Thomas Matson, health inspector in Kenya (1944-1963) and amateur historian of East Africa, is followed by a bibliographic survey of Matson's writings prepared by Matson himself. The bibliography lists, in the published section, books, introductions and chapters in books, articles and contributions to the 'Kenya Weekly News', the 'Uganda Journal' and other learned periodicals, book reviews and letters. The unpublished section contains books, articles, material supplied to the other authors, introductions, seminar contributions, and bibliographical items. All the items are at Rhodes House, Oxford, and in the Kenya National Archives in their original form or microfilm and most of the published material is in the Matson Collection in the Library of the Royal Commonwealth Society, London.
