Abstract: | Deals with the (pre-service) training of community development workers. The pre-service training period in Zambia is just under one year, and consists of: 3 months at the Staff Training School, 4 months on block field placement, 3 months back at the Staff Training School. The several stages of the training are discussed and evaluated: 1. Before start of training - 2. During early part of pre-service training - 3. Block 'field placement'. |
