Abstract: | In his address to the Cape Nationalist Congress Dr. Verwoerd announces that the Govt. was determined to proceed with the removal of the Bantu from the western Cape; they would be attracted to the Transkei by the offer of greater opportunities there. In the Transkei a special committee would look after the interests of the Whites. The Prime Minister gave a pledge of compensation when eventually the 'White Spots' in the Transkei would have to disappear altogether. The development of border industries would assist the Bantus in the Transkei to build up their towns.
