Abstract: | In the article some aspects of the indirect rule in Nigeria are exposed, which was a centrifugal force in the constitutional development of that country. The similarity between indirect rule in Nigeria and the principle of 'Bantu authorities' is inescapable. However the centrifigal force of the Bantustan policy purposefully leads to partition. If the South-African government wants to keep to a minimum the infusion of irrational factors, ambivalence must be shunned. |
