Abstract:As an addition to the first volume of 'Arabic literature of Africa', this paper presents a compilation of the writings by Ibr¯ah¯im b. S¯id¯i Mu.hammad b. Mu.hammad Salm¯a (1949-1999), a Sudanese Tij¯ani shaykh from the town of al-F¯ashir (Darfur, Sudan). Revered by his followers and denounced by his opponents, Shaykh Ibr¯ah¯im has been one of the most charismatic and most controversial personalities within the Tij¯aniyya Sufi order during the 20th century. Also included in the paper are two short notes on other Tij¯ani scholars from the same family and their writings, viz. Shaykh Ibr¯ah¯im's grandfather Shaykh Mu.hammad Salm¯a (d. 1918) and his elder brother Shaykh Mu.hammad al-Gh¯al¯i (b. c. 1947). Besides a short biographical note on Shaykh Ibr¯ah¯im, the paper lists the annotated titles of four works by Shaykh Salm¯a, two by Shaykh al-Gh¯al¯i, and 29 by Shaykh Ibr¯ah¯im.
