| Abstract: | This paper reports on the archaeological survey of Imoleboja Rockshelter Area, Odo Owa, Kwara State, Nigeria, and a test excavation at the rock shelter. This rock shelter and the adjoining cultural attractions are being developed as tourist centres. The ethnographic and artifactual evidence of the abandoned settlements north of Imoleboja reveals the interdependence of the inhabitants in the historic past. The excavated deposits reveal two cultural phases. The pottery phase overlays the lithic tool phase which may suggest earlier phases of occupation at the site before the present inhabitants.
