Abstract:This article examines historical events in Ethiopia as they are evoked in the 14th-century epic 'Kebra Nagast' and some sources which were used by its compiler(s). It is also a refutation of some theses that trace the original composition of this book, as well as the story of Salomon and Sheba which is a part of it, back to the VIe-VIIe century.
