Zimbabwe. Cold Storage Commission
Abstract:This paper sketches the history, policies and problems of the Cold Storage Commission of Zimbabwe, one of four marketing boards of Zimbabwe's Agricultural Marketing Authority, from 1937 up to the early 1980s. The Commission has usually accounted for about 80 percent of all slaughterings of cattle in the country. It was established in 1937 by Act of Parliament to take over the Rhodesia Export and Cold Storage Company. Attention is also paid to the predecessor of the Cold Storage Commission, which became operational in 1928. Bibliogr. [ASC Leiden abstract]
