It contains the following contributions: Islam and democratic federalism in Nigeria, by John Paden; Christian-Islamic cooperation in the building of a just and peaceful society, by George Ehusani; Catholic teaching on revolutionary armed force: is there a better way forward for moral theology? by Breifne Walker; Popular religiosity in the African context, by Elochukwu E. Uzukwu; The role of forgiveness in the process of reconciliation: an African perspective, by Bede Ukwuije. In conclusion the issue presents two communiques released at the 2002 plenary meetings of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), entitled 'Healing the wounds of the nation' and 'Our concern for our nation'.
