Abstract: | Terrorism in sub-Saharan Africa is not a new phenomenon. However, prior to the attacks on New York and Washington, the scope and amount of terrorism literature pertaining to the subcontinent was relatively modest. In the years following 9/11 (September 11, 2001), there has been an increase in the number of books and articles about terrorism in sub-Saharan Africa. The present bibliography provides a selected sampling of some of the more pertinent literature. Following a section 'General', titles are arranged geographically under the headings East Africa/Horn of Africa, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, West Africa and North Africa, Southern Africa, South Africa.
