| Abstract: | This volume of African Development Review contains eight selected papers which were presented at the annual African Economic Conference held in Addis Ababa in November 2008. The papers share a common theme, viz. the challenges facing Africa in today's globalized economy in the context of ongoing financial and economic crisis.
